After blanking the Bolts and celebrating TJ Oshie’s Dirty 30 Friday night, the Capitals dispersed across the country to celebrate the NHL’s three-day holiday break. Here’s what your favorite past, current, and future Caps were up to for Christmas.
Alex Ovechkin
Alex Ovechkin and his wife Nastya flew to Miami Beach and stayed at a beachside resort. Unfortunately, Andre Burakovsky did not join Ovi this year on the trip.
TJ Oshie
The Oshies appear to have stayed at home to celebrate Christmas. TJ’s wife Lauren posted two adorable photos of her children Lyla and Leni.
Dmitry Orlov
Dmitry Orlov and his lovely wife Varvara traveled to Columbus, Ohio to spend time with Vezina Trophy-winning goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky and Red Wings defenseman Alexey Marchenko. Orlov and Bobrovsky are longtime friends from their playing together on Metallurg Novokuznetsk. They appeared to have a bunch of fun at Bob’s house.
It looks like Dima and Varvara would have made a great figure-skating pair!
Marcus Johansson
Marcus Johansson instagrammed a photo of his wife Amelia holding his daughter Mila. “Merry Christmas from the Johansson family ,” Johansson said.
Jakub Vrana
Jakub Vrana’s mother Jana saw her son play in his first NHL game on Friday.
Capitals rookie Jakub Vrana's mother Jana is visiting from Czech and will see him play live in NHL for first time tonight.

John Carlson posted this adorable photo with his son Lucca.
Daniel Winnik
Daniel Winnik and his beautiful wife Taylor vacationed at the Hyatt High Sierra Lodge on Lake Tahoe. “What's Christmas without and overly posed photo with a snowy mountain backdrop? Happy holidays from the Winnik's ☺️,” wrote Taylor.
Of course the professional photographer in the family took a bunch of stunning photos.
Tom Wilson
I’m not sure of Wilson’s whereabouts, but Caps forward Brett Connolly shared the above photo and wished Tom Wilson a Merry Christmas.

The Hough family also filmed this choreographed Christmas video.

Joel Ward
Finally, I have no idea where the Big Cheese spent Christmas, but he got this amazing t-shirt. This was also one of my favorite games to play growing up as a kid.
