Former Capitals teammates Michael Latta, Joel Ward, and Tom Wilson reunited in Toronto on Saturday. How do we know this? Because they took a very good photo together. And it’s almost as good as the Five Russians photo from four years ago.
In an Instagram posting by Latta, the old Caps trio posed along with Calgary Flames forward Luke Gazdic.
Sharks forward Logan Couture and Devils defenseman Adam Henrique posted in the comments.
“Wardooooooooooo,” Couture said while Henrique added, “@latta17 plus Joe Resnick.
The group of hockey players recently participated in BioSteel Camp in Toronto to work on their conditioning before NHL training camp in September.
In a video by Yahoo Sports, a collection of the BioSteel Camp players picked on each other. Latta was almost unanimously named the best trash talker of camp — “I think he actually chirped me on Instagram this morning,” Wilson said — while TW43 was nominated as one of the players who played like a scout was in the stands. “It’s just his nature,” one camp member said.
