The Capitals took a stumble into the holiday break after back-to-back road losses against the Arizona Coyotes and Vegas Golden Knights. But it looks like the boys still had a relaxing break with friends and family. Here’s what your faves of the past, present, and future Caps were up to this break.
Alex Ovechkin

Alex Ovechkin and his wife, Nastya, opted for a bit more of a warmer holiday. The couple spent Christmas with a romantic getaway in in Miami Beach.
TJ Oshie
The Oshie family appears to have returned to their offseason home in Minnesota for a holiday worth jumping about (get it? because of the trampoline gift? no? ok.)
The couple posted video of Lyla racing down the stairs Christmas morning.
John Carlson
John Carlson and his family had a pretty great holiday break in the DC area, including a skate for little Lucca.
Carlson’s wife Gina also posted video of dad and son playing hockey outside of the couple’s Virginia home.
Chandler Stephenson and Nathan Walker

The winner for cutest holiday break, in my opinion, is Chandler Stephenson and Nathan Walker who spent the holiday together up north in Saskatoon with matching hats and scarves. I love them.

Jakub Vrana, Madison Bowey, and Christian Djoos
Jakub Vrana, Madison Bowey, and Christian Djoos gave us all a big “happy holidays” with some lovely outfits…and a peek at their legs.
Philipp Grubauer

One of the cutest photos of the year, Philipp Grubauer celebrated with his girlfriend lookin’ like picture perfect models.
Dmitry Orlov
Dmitry Orlov and his fabulous wife, Varvara, took some gorgeous photos at the Grand Canyon during the holiday break!

The Mitchell family had a cozy time at home, including their pups who dressed up for the occasion.
Liam O’Brien
Liam O’Brien returned home to Halifax and took this photo with his family.
Brooks Laich
#merrychristmaseve to all you good people out there, hope you are spending it with and appreciating your loved ones. Much love from our family to yours! #flannel #onesies pic.twitter.com/jGLuFoM7Rj

Brooks Laich, of course, posted about his holiday on social media. No Christmas celebration is completely without matching pjs and Brooks suited up with his wife, brother-in-law, and the puppies.
Michael Latta
Michael Latta and the Latta boys had matching ugly Dwight Schrute sweaters. They didn’t have matching pants though and, for some reason, Michael wore shorts. It’s not warm out.
Here’s how the team spent their holiday break in 2016.
