Bored with playing AHL hockey, former Caps forward Brooks Laich hosted a Q/A on Twitter today, using the hashtag #askBrooks. He got a question from former teammate Michael Latta.
Latta, who currently plays for the Chicago Blackhawks’ AHL affiliate, asked Laich who his favorite all-time line-mates were. I have a feeling I know where this is going.
Who are your two favorite line mates you've ever had? https://t.co/dpft9XwUIk

The 'Steamboat' @Latta17 and the 'Dreamboat' @tom_wilso of course, hottest line in hockey haha – miss you dudes! This isn’t the first time that Laich has referred to the former third line as the “hottest line in hockey.” The three were line-mates during the end of Laich’s time in Washington.
Laich also answered two other DC-based questions from fans.
@brookslaich best come from behind win do you remember with caps?

Down 4-0 to the Rangers after 2 periods, won 5-4 in OT on a goal by Shaone Morrisonn, first one that comes to mind https://t.co/B9rLzC6Yuj

A curious fan even asked if Laich thought he would ever make it back into the NHL. Laich answered, “Every day!”
@brookslaich you think you'll make it back to the show?
